Richard A. Chase, Esquire, brings more than thirty years experience to the practice of law.  A 1967 graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law, Mr. Chase has compiled an outstanding record of service and dedication to his clients since his induction to the bar that same year.

Mr. Chase is experienced in the areas of business and corporate law, representing several family-owned partnerships and small corporations, and not-for-profit corporations.

Mr. Chase also has a large estate and probate practice.  He is an experienced estate planner, who is called upon by individuals and business clients for assistance.

Real estate development is the largest area of practice for Mr. Chase.  In more than thirty years of experience in residential and commercial real estate development, Mr. Chase has represented for-profit and not-for-profit corporations and limited partnerships that develop, own, operate, and manage subsidized, affordable, and market rate housing facilities.  Projects have included:

            •     Multi-family housing,

            •     Independent elderly housing,

            •     Physically and developmentally disabled housing,

            •     Children’s group homes,

            •     Assisted living facilities,

            •     Nursing homes,

            •     Life-lease condominiums, and

            •     Continuum of care communities.

Mr. Chase is experienced with the various government financing options available including directly subsidized projects and indirectly subsidized Low Income Housing Tax Credit projects.  His involvement in these projects typically encompasses the following details:

                  ·     Setting up corporations and limited partnerships,

                  ·     Assisting in site selection and preparation requirements,

                  ·     Negotiating the purchase and acquisition of the property.
